Oso-ai to market its fall arrest box internationally - Par Les Echos

By the end of the year, the company based in Brest will have equipped 3,000 nursing home rooms and medical centers with its fall arrest unit. It recently refinanced itself to market its smart alert system internationally.

According to the Ministry of Health, the two million annual falls recorded in people over 65 years of age are responsible for 130,000 hospitalizations and 10,000 deaths in France. To address this public health problem, The young company Oso-ai , based in Brest (Finistère), has succeeded in developing an intelligent system for detecting distress situations.

Protected by five patents, it has been called the “augmented ear of caregivers”, because its principle is based on sound analysis, using AI, of the daily environment. In particular in nursing homes or medical facilities where Oso-ai markets its technology. By the end of the year, “3,000 rooms will be equipped with our boxes”, says Philippe Roguedas, co-founder and CEO of the company created in 2018.
